"And I heard,
そして私は聞いた
as it were,
その音があるべき‘さま’を
the noise of thunder
いかづちの乱れる音を

4匹の獣たちのうち 1匹が言うのを

'Come and see.'

そして私は見た

わたしはこの眼で感じたのだ

There's a man goin' 'round takin' names
そこにあの男がきたる 名前をあつめて歩き回る

And he decides who to free and who to
そして彼は決めるのだ 誰が自由になるべきか
blame
誰が責めを負うべきか

Everybody won't be treated all the same
もはや誰しもが同じように扱われることはない  

There'll be a golden ladder reachin' down
金色のはしごが降りてきて 差し伸べられるだろう

When the man comes around
あの男がやってくる時  

The hairs on your arm will stand up
身体の毛が逆立つのを感じるだろう

At the terror in each sip and in each sup
それぞれのひとすすりと それぞれのひとはみの中にある恐怖のとき

Will you partake of that last offered cup
汝は分けあうか 最後に差し出された一杯を

Or disappear into the potter's ground?
それともあの陶工がしたように
大地へと消し去られてしまうのか？
